Leonard Macholan

Leonard was born January 17, 1939 at Linwood to Joseph and Mary (Vech) Macholan. He graduated from Linwood High School in 1956 and has been a life longer farmer in the Linwood area. On September 6, 1958 he married Darlene Focher at the First Presbyterian Church in Schuyler. He was a member of the Linwood Volunteer Fire Dept. and the Linwood School Board. He loved the outdoors - farming, hunting, fishing, raising cattle and hogs but most of all he loved his children and grandchildren. Leonard died January 16th at the Butler County Hospital at the age of 71. Leonard is survived by his wife, Darlene of Linwood; three children and five grandchildren; daughter, Kathy (Brian) LeCuyer - Jonathan and Laura of Columbus; two sons, Jim (Jessica) - Keaton, David (Diane) - Cassie and Tasha all of Linwood; mother-in-law, Agnes Focher of David City; three sisters-in-law, Marilyn Macholan of Linwood, Marlene Focher of Lincoln and Darlene Focher of Prague; many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, infant son, Gary; brother, Wilfred Macholan; sister, Viola Hovorka and her husband Ed; father-in-law, Joseph Focher; brother-in-law, Don Focher; nephew, Bill Macholan. Family suggest memorials to Family Choice. Funeral lunch will be served at the St. Mary's Social Center following the interment in the Linwood Hill Cemetery.
