Leonard Hrouda

87 year old Leonard Hrouda of Schuyler died October 18th at the Golden Living Center in Clarkson. Leonard was born November 6, 1923 in Clarkson to Robert and Marie (Fisher) Hrouda. He graduated from Clarkson High School and served in the U.S. Air Force. On May 24, 1949, Leonard married Margaret Janecek at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Schuyler. He was a corporate pilot. Leonard was a member of St.Mary's Catholic Church, Nebraska Aviation Trade Association, National Pilots Association, Sky Roamers Club of Columbus, Schuyler Airport Authority, American Legion, a Past Cub Master and the Colfax County Weed Control Authority. Leonard is survived by his wife Margaret of Schuyler, sons: Randy (Eileen) of Schuyler, Jeff (Janet) of Norfolk, Jim of Hickman, and Robert (Monique) of Shoreline, WA; daughters Laurie (Kevin) Johnson of Norfolk and Marie (Mark) Valeika of Bennington; 16 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren, a sister, Mary Ann (Harley) Tejkl of Stanton. Leonard was preceded in death by his parents, son Kendall and brother, Bob. Memorials are suggested to "Family's Wishes".
