Leo L. Aldrich, 89, of David City, formerly of Rising City, passed away Thursday, September 18, 2008 at the Butler County Health Care Center in David City.
Services will be held at 10:30 am Monday, September 22 at the David City United Methodist Church. Visitation will be from 3-5 pm Sunday at Chermok Funeral Home in David City and from 9:30-10:30 am Monday at the Church. Military rites under the direction of the Kregger Post 125/VFW Post 5814 and burial will be at the David City Cemetery.
Leo was born on September 8, 1919 to Ray and Ethel (Gibson) Aldrich. Leo served four years in the Armhy Air Force. He married Lucille Zeilinger on April 10, 1948 in North Bend, Nebraska. Leo farmed most of his life.
Leo was a member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church, Composite Lodge #81 Rising City, he played and coached softball, was a leage bowler and a league golfer.
Leo is survived by his wife Lucille of David City, sons: Larry (Carol) of Dwight, Marvin (Peg) of Schuyler and Melvin (Sharon) of Seward; grandchildren: Chad, Kevin, Andy, Craig, Jeff, Allsion and Brooke Aldrich; and 6 great grandchildren.
Leo was preceded in death by his parents, twin brother Lyle, brother Ivan (Nick) and sister, Grace Kovar.
