Leah Stites, 71, of David City, passed away Sunday, September 27, 2009 at the Genoa Community Hospital in Genoa.
Memorial Services will be Monday, October 5, 2009 at 10:30am at the Congregational Church, David City with Pastor Jack McDonald officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date.
Memorials may be given in care of the family.
Leah E. Stites was born on June 9, 1938 to Omer and Geraldine(Peak)Stites in Omaha, Nebraska. She recieved her education through the Special Education Program of the Beatrice State Home, Region V of David City and in Bellwood.
Leah was blessed with the gift of making people happy. She enjoyed life and was a big Elvis fan. She worked various jobs with Region V in David City and Columbus.
She is survived by her brother: Paul Stites of Omaha; her sister: Judy(Bill)Riha of Brainard, many nieces and nephews, and all the people whose lives she touched in her special lifetime.
Leah is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers: Boyd and Omer Stites; one niece: Claudette Riha and one nephew: Jeremy Riha.
