LaVina Armagost, 89, formerly of David City, passed away June 5, 2016, at Good Samaritan Society in Beatrice.
LaVina was born April 18, 1927 to Oscar and Ella(Anderson) Berglund on the family farm in Polk County. She graduated from Octavia High School, and completed business school. She worked at the Butler County Court House and spent most of her career as a typesetter at the Banner Press until retirement. LaVina was united in marriage to William Armagost on May 22, 1949 in David City.
She was a member of the Congregational Christian Church, Evening Circle, the VFW and Legion Auxiliaries, and a Past Guardian of Job's Daughters Bethel #51. LaVina enjoyed sewing, cooking, and going to Curves. She and Bill were lifelong residents of Butler County until moving to Plymouth in 2008.
LaVina is survived by daughters: Jan(Steve) Stultz, of Harrisonville, MO and Sue(Galen) Epp, of Plymouth, NE; grandchildren and spouses: Mike(fiancé Rose) Armagost, Bill(Sheila) Armagost, Jim Armagost, Jennifer(Luke) Starkey, Chris Stultz and Anna Stultz, Garrett and Taylor Epp; 3 great-grandchildren: Dominic, Alex, and Jeremiah; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband: William in 2011; son: David; brothers and sisters: Allen Berglund, Virgil Berglund, Bill Berglund, Doris Kelly, Don Berglund and Dennis Berglund; and parents-in-law: Clarence and Adria Armagost.
