Larry Meysenburg, 67, of Baton, Rouge, LA died Thursday, July 2, 2015.
Larry Meysenburg, 67, formerly of David City, passed away July 2 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Larry was born on August 9, 1947, to Alfred and Grace Meysenburg.
Larry attended St. Mary’s Elementary School and graduated from Aquinas High School in 1965. He attended Allegheny College in Meadville, PA and lived and worked in Boston, MA for 10 years before moving to Omaha and receiving his Master’s degree from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. He was awarded a grant to study at Louisiana State University and work as a graduate assistant. In 1993, he contracted Legionnaires disease. He subsequently suffered a stroke which left him disabled and unable to continue his career. At the time of his death, he was residing at St. Clare Manor in Baton Rouge.
Survivors include his brother, Bill, and sister-in-law, Mariel; nieces, Kristin Petty (Matt), and Kara Connolly; and grand nieces, Lauren and Paige Petty and Grace and Ella Connolly.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents. His sister, Mary Ann, passed away August 3, 2015.
