Kenneth J. "Kenny" Pohl, 78, of David City died Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at St. Joseph's Villa in David City.
No viewing , as Kenny's wish was to be cremated.

Ken was born on September 1, 1939 at Bruno, Nebraska to John and Elsie (Zeleny) Pohl. He was the first graduating class of St. Mary's High School in 1957. He entered the U S Air Force in 1958, serving his country proudly until his discharge in 1964. Kenny worked as a self-employed construction contractor for many years. He married Rita Kabourek on November 7, 1965 and five children were born to this union. They later divorced and Kenny kept active by researching genealogy and was very active in the Boston Studio File Research. He drove for Busy Wheel and loved spending time at the Senior Center. He also enjoyed time attending his grandchildren's activities, deer hunting and spent countless hours on jig saw puzzles.
Kenny is survived by his sons: Danny(Wendy) Pohl, Allan Pohl, and Terry Pohl; daughters: Lori(Jim) Stewart and Lynn(Brian) Styskal; 8 grandchildren: Kyle and Natalie Stewart, Nathan, Morgan, Lauren, and Noah Styskal, Megan and Kylie Pohl; one brother: Tom(Cathy) Pohl; one sister: Mary Ann(Scott) Prigge; sister-in-law: Carol Pohl; long time friend: BJ Ponec and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers: Dennis and John Pohl Jr.
