Kenneth F. DeWispelare, 80, of David City died Monday, December 12, 2016 at David Place in David City.

Ken was born on August 21, 1936 on the farm near Center, to Harry J. and Marie(Theewen) DeWispelare. He helped his dad farm until he joined the Army National Guard. He married Dorothy Vanis on November 26, 1960 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in David City.
Ken was a member of St. Mary's Church, Knights of Columbus Tihen Council 1717 of David City, and a past member of the David City Jaycees, Co-op Board and church choir. He enjoyed polka music, playing cards, woodworking and carpentry, dancing, deer hunting, being outdoors, and puttering around in his shop.
Survivors: Wife, Dorothy of David City, Daughter, Lisa Kobza-Venter of Denver, CO, and Son, James(Rochelle)DeWispelare of Columbus, NE, two brothers: Larry (Janet) and Ronald "Cork" (Sharon) DeWispelare both of David City and Sister, Norma Jean (John) Peters of David City.
Preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Joseph and Harold DeWispelare and one sister, Alice Walker.
