Kenneth L. Chapek, 72, of Bruno, died Saturday, March 2 at St. Joseph's Villa in David City.

Kenneth Lee Chapek was born on March 3, 1946 to Adolph and Sally (Skoda) Chapek at Wahoo, Nebraska. Kenny was a long time self-employed truck driver. He was a member of the Bruno VFD and St. Anthony's Church. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching and attending race car events, and spending time with his family. He was a past member of the Nebraska National Guard. Kenny married Glenna Allen on August 19, 1977 in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Kenny is survived by his wife, Glenna, mother, Sally Chapek of Bruno, Daughters: Deb(Warren)Jensen of Norfolk, Laurie(David)Hill of Goldsboro, NC, and Julie Devlin of Wilmington, NC. Sister: Kathy Ptacek of Bruno, Sister-in-law: Gail Chapek, 10 Grandchildren, 4 Great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Adolph, Step-daughter, Tami Leiting-Hill, brother: Adrian Chapek and brother-in-law: Louis Ptacek.
