Kelly Veskrna, 50 , of David City died Saturday, April 11, 2009 at Butler County Health Care Center in David City.
Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at 10:00am in St. Mary's Church with Fr. Paul Frank officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Viewing will be on Tuesday from 2-4pm at Chermok Funeral Home and after 6pm at the church followed by a 7pm parish rosary.
Memorials may be given to the David City High School Booster Club or David City Fire Department in lieu of flowers.
Kelly was born on November 23, 1958 to Donald and Delores(Quick)Veskrna in Lincoln. He moved to the farm in the Ulysses area when he was 5 yrs old and attended East Butler Schools, graduating in 1977.
On June 6, 1992, he married Mary Kay Romshek at St. Peter's Church in Bellwood. He worked at Timpte as an Assembly Worker.
Kelly was an avid hunter, a member of the NRA, enjoyed ice fishing and all sports, especially anything involving his sons and the David City Scouts. He was also a member of St. Mary's Church.
Kelly is survived by his wife, Mary Kay; two sons: Jake and Kurt, one daughter: Hannah all of David City. His parents: Donald and Delores Veskrna of Ulysses, two sisters: Karen(Rod)Roth and Kathy Dobesh both of Lincoln. His Father-in-law and Mother-in-law:Don and Mary Ann Romshek of Bellwood.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
