Kathryn Gautreau

Kathryn M. Gautreau, 94, of Schuyler, formerly of Howells, passed away Friday, May 18, 2012 in Schuyler. Kathryn was born June 8, 1917 in Howells to Joseph and Gertrude (Dirkschneider) Kassmeier. She married Ernest J. "Jim" Gautreau in Denver, Colorado. She owned several restaurants in Howells. She was a member of St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. She enjoyed fishing, and baking, espcially homemade pies. Kathryn is survived by sons: Jim Gautreau of Ft. Calhoun, NE; Joe (Jackie) Gautreau of Omaha and Paul Gautreau of West Point, NE; 6 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jim in 1980, brothers Joseph and Henry Kassmeier and sisters Elizabeth Kluthe and Pauline Liekhus. Memorials may be directed "In Care of the Family".
