Judith Walitzer

Judith Diane Walitzer passed away Monday, March 10, 2025, at her home near Octavia, Nebraska, surrounded by family. She was 81 years old. She was born April 16, 1943, to Henry and Genevieve White in Chicago, IL.

On October 29, 1962, she married David B Walitzer and they eventually settled down in Genoa IL where she lived most of her life, until a few years ago where she moved to be close to her daughter Jill in Indianola, IA, for three years and then finally to Octavia, NE.

She was a certified nurse assistant for several years displaying her special gifts of love for people and being a caregiver then moved on to being a dispatcher for the Genoa Police Department for many years. She finally cared for her grandchildren as the most loving, funny, and generous grandma they could all have with special bonds with each one.

She is survived by her three children, Tammy (James) Gregorec, Jill (Brian) Zegers, and David (Amber) Walitzer. Her beloved grandchildren, TylerAnn (Brandon) Zoubek, Jami (John) Torrance, Alyssa Gregorec, Jacob Walitzer, Lauryn Gregorec, Alison Walitzer, Alexandra Gregorec, Joshua Gregorec, and Samuel Zegers, along with seven beautiful great grandchildren. Her brother Robert (Eileen) White; and nieces and nephews, Kimberly Walitzer, Leslie (David) Turco, Kevin White, Matthew (Sheila) White

She is preceded in death by her parents Henry and Genevieve white, in laws Walter and Rosalie Walitzer and husband David Walitzer.

With her deep affection and tender heart for animals, memorials may be sent to Paws N Claws in Columbus NE.

Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday March 15, 2025 at 10 am at Presentation Parish (Marietta) with visitation prior to service from 9 am to 10 am. Immediately following mass is a lunch at Northside in David City NE. Moravec Johnson Mortuary is handling arrangement for Judie’s family.
