Joseph E. Kozisek, 95, of David City died Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at the Butler County Health Care Center in David City.

Joseph Kozisek was born on March 31, 1922 at Bruno, Nebraska to Joseph A. and Anna (Pekarek) Kozisek. Joe farmed all of his life. He married Marie Peters on February 11, 1947 at St. Mary's Church, David City. Three children were born to this union. He belonged to St. Mary's Church and was a past cemetery board member. He enjoyed woodworking, farming, gardening, animals and polka music.
Joe is survived by his wife of 70 years, Marie, Sons: Jim(Sherry) Kozisek and Dave(Robin)Kozisek both of Lincoln, and Daughter: Barb(Greg) Boggs of Lincoln. 3 Grandchildren: Michael(Katy) and Stephen(Chelsey)Boggs and Nicole Razey. 3 Great-grandchildren. Brother: Fred(Norma)Kozisek of Lee Summit, MO and Sister: Mary Henrichson of Ceresco, numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and 4 Brothers: Rudy, Leonard, Vincent and Ed Kozisek and two sisters: Agnes Proskovec and Martha Mares.
