Joseph M. Hotovy, 84, of Dwight, died Tuesday, November 27 at his residence of natural causes.

Joseph Hotovy was born on December 31, 1933 at Dwight, Nebraska to Frank and Agnes (Sypal) Hotovy. He went to work at the Burlington Northern Shops in Lincoln as a shop mechanic, working there until he retired.
In his younger years, Joe enjoyed racing cars and spending time on his acreage. He would attend the David City Senior Center to socialize and enjoy a good meal.
Joe is survived by his sister, Bernadette Benes of Lincoln. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters: Genevieve Hotovy and Margaret Stevens.
