Joseph Havlovic, 78, of Brainard, passed away April 17, 2016 at the Butler County Health Care Center, in David City.
Joseph was born September 16, 1937 to Joseph and Edith(Rerucha) Havlovic, on the farm near Brainard. He graduated from Brainard High School. He farmed most of his life and retired from Farmers Coop. On July 29, 1967 Joseph was united in marriage to Emily Berg. 4 children were born to this union.
He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, and a past member of the East Butler School Board, Knights of Columbus, and the Brainard Fire Department. Joseph loved all types of gardening, and being outdoors. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren's hobbies and sporting events.
Joseph is survived by his wife: Emily; sons: Bradley J. (Teresa) Havlovic, of Lincoln, Anthony E. (Nancy) Havlovic, of Omaha, and David J. Havlovic, of Brainard; grandchildren: Matt & Paige McConnell, Morgan, Caleb, and Hunter Havlovic, Josh & Jenna Havlovic, Emma & Erin Makransky. and son-in-law: Paul McConnell
He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter: Deb M. Havlovic; and brother: Jerome Havlovic.
