Jolene Eller, 47, of David City died Thursday, July 7, 2011 at the Butler County Heatlh Care Center in David City.
Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday July 11, 2011 at 9:00 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church in David City with Fr. Bernard Kimminau as celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery.
Per Jolene's wishes, there will be no viewing.
Closed casket visitation will be on Sunday from 2 to 5 PM with a Children's Rosary at 3 PM and a PCCW Rosary at 5 PM all at St. Mary's Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been suggested to the Jolene Eller Scholarship Fund.

Jolene was born on October 19, 1963 at Genoa to Richard and Florence (Dush) Schmidt. She attended and graduated from Monroe High School and received her Bachelor's Degree from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln and her Master's Degree from Kearney State College.
She was united in marriage to Michael Eller on October 1, 1983 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Platte Center. She was hired as a teacher at St. Mary's School in David City where she has continued to teach and educate students for many years, most currently as First Grade teacher. Jolene was widely admired and respected by all students, faculty and parents and will be missed by all.
Jolene was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Jolene enjoyed sports, especially volleyball. She also enjoyed yardwork, spending time with her grandchildren, reading the Chaplet of the Divine Mercy and long walks with Mike.
Jolene is survived by her husband Michael of David City; sons Craig (Genna) Eller of Gretna; Kyle (Carly) Eller of Bellevue and Trevor Eller of David City; daughter Jenna Eller of David City; parents Richard and Florence Schmidt of Monroe; brothers Rick (Sabra) Schmidt of Monroe; Doug (Carla) Schmidt of Hartington and Glenn (Kim) Schmidt of Monroe; a sister Pam Wiebelhaus of Lincoln and grandchildren Liam, Piper and Audrey Jolene Eller. She was preceded in death by a brother Neil Schmidt.
