John E. Jedlicka, 77, of Schuyler passed away on Thursday, November 21, 2019 at Brookestone Acres in Columbus.
Memorials can be directed towards Family Wishes.
John Emil Jedlicka was born on October 25, 1942 in Columbus to John O. and Libbie (Lopour) Jedlicka. He graduated from Schuyler High School in 1960. After high school he served in the U.S. Army and after his honorable discharge took over the family farm. On September 7, 1968 John E. married Elizabeth Janousek, the couple later divorced.
John E. has been a farmer his entire life and would be the first one to tell you that he loved every moment of it, coming in only second to the love for his family. Being crowned the unofficial “Mayor of Road J” you could always expect to see John driving up and down the county roads in his “Red-Rocket” and making sure everything in the county was just as it should be, of course with Judy riding shotgun. John enjoyed listening to Polkas in his spare time, raising hogs, and visiting with everybody. Later in his life John loved spending time with and babysitting many of his grandchildren.
John E. is survived by his children: John Mark (fiancé Becky) Jedlicka, Glen (friend Shannon) Jedlicka and Laura (Doug) Eisenmann all of Schuyler; friend Judy Brezina of Schuyler; grandchildren: Jenna Jedlicka; Cole, Kyle, and Brady Jedlicka; and Joshua, Justin, and Kara Eisenmann all of Schuyler; brother-in-law Dean (Penny) Janousek of Clarkson and two nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and several aunts and uncles.
