Jeyco Gonzalez, 19, of Schuyler, Nebraska died February 2, 2023 as a result of injuries sustained in an auto mobile accident in rural Clarkson.

Memorials may be directed to the Family for funeral expenses.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, February 6, at 10AM, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Schuyler, with Fr. Jairo Congote officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday, 4:30 PM to 8:00 PM with a Rosary at 5:00 PM, all held at the church. Additional viewing will be from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM prior to the service at the Church. Burial will be on Monday following the service at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Schuyler. Svoboda Funeral Home of Schuyler is handling arrangements.

Jeyco Gonzalez was born May 15, 2003 in Los Angeles, California to Macaria Gonzalez. Jeyco was a full time student studying online to obtain his realtors license for the states of Nebraska and California. He was a loving father to his 2-year-old son, Ovidio I. Gonzalez. He loved spending time with him, particularly going on walks with him in the park, and taking him to church. Jeyco had many hobbies but he really enjoyed playing the guitar and piano along with other instruments. Jeyco was the life of the party who was very social and he also enjoyed dancing and singing. He had a love for sports; the Los Angeles Dodgers being his favorite baseball team. Growing up he wrestled, played basketball and football. Jeyco was a truck enthusiast, from working on them to talking about them with his friends; he loved his trucks.

Jeyco is survived by his son, Ovidio, mother, Macaria; step father, Manuel de Jesus; brothers: Keiner Gonzalez and Josue Velez all of Schuyler; grandmother, Ancelma Vicente of Guatemala; uncles: Antonio Gonzalez of Guatemala and Policarpio Gonzalez of Schuyler; aunts: Teresa Gonzalez of Lincoln and Maria Gonzalez of Schuyler; mother to his child, Jasmine Acosta; lifelong family friend and father figure, Marcelo Gomez; as well as many cousins and friends.

Jeyco Gonzalez nació el 15 de mayo de 2003 en Los Angeles, California a Macaria Gonzalez. Jeyco era un estudiante de tiempo completo estudiando su titulación en línea para Bienes raises en los estados de Nebraska y California. El era un padre amoroso a su hijo de 2 años, Ovidio I. Gonzalez. A el le encantaba pasar tiempo con el pero en particular le gustaba sacarlo a caminar a el parque y llevarlo a la iglesia. Jeyco tenia muchos pasatiempos, pero el mas disfrutaba tocar su guitarra y el piano, al igual que otros instrumentos. Jeyco era el alma de la fiesta y muy amigable. El también disfrutaba mucho bailar y cantar. Le tenía pasión a los deportes; Los Angeles Dodgers siendo su equipo de beisbol favorito. Creciendo el luchaba, jugaba básquetbol y futbol americano. Jeyco era fanático de las trocas, le gustaba trabajar en ellas al igual que hablar de ellas con sus amigos; el amaba a las trocas.

A Jeyco le sobreviven su hijo, Ovidio; su Madre, Macaria; padrastro, Manuel de Jesús; sus hermanos, Keiner González y Josué Vélez; todos de Schuyler. Tambien su abuela, Anselma Vicente de Guatemala. Sus tíos, Antonio González de Guatemala y Policarpio González de Schuyler; sus tías, Teresa González de Lincoln, NE y María González de Schuyler; la madre de su hijo, Jasmine Acosta y Amigo familiar de toda la vida y una figura paterna, Marcelo Gómez; así como muchos primos y amigos.
