Jeffrey A. Hain, 43, of Bellwood, Nebraska, passed away Sunday, November 29, 2009 at David Place in David City, Nebraska. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 am Friday, December 4, 2009 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in David City. Visitation will from 2 - 5 pm Thursday, 12/3/09 at Chermok Funeral Home, and after 6 pm at St. Mary's Church, followed by a Rosary at 7 pm also at the Church. Visitation will continue Friday one hour before services at the Church. Burial will be in Sts. Peter and Mary Cemetery in Bellwood.
Jeffrey was born November 19, 1966 in David City to Bernard "Butch" and Jeanne (McGowen) Hain. He graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas High School in 1985 and married Carla Wellman on April 6, 1991 at St. Vincent dePaul Church in Seward. Jeffrey was past President of the Nebraska Egg Council, a member of Presentation Church where he served as an Acolyte and Trustee. He enjoyed golf, attending Lincoln Stars hockey, loved his family, farming, and attending his kid's activities.
Jeff is survived by his wife Carla, sons, Dustin, Jared, and Colin, and daughter, Josina; his parents, Bernard "Butch" and Jeanne (McGowen) Hain; all of Bellwood; brother Bill (Gloria) Hain, of Columbus; sisters, Debra (Scott) Sorensen of Brentwood, CA, and Kristine "Tina" (Peter) Fowle of Lenexa, KS, and Mother-in-law: Patricia Wellman of Lincoln. Jeff also enjoyed a special bond with his father-in-law, Clark Wellman of Lincoln.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Mildred Hain and Laurence and Leona McGowen.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to Aquinas Guardian Angel Fund, Aquinas High School Endowment Fund or the American Cancer Society.
