James Rerucha

James "Baldy" Rerucha Jr, 68, of Waco, died Thursday, Jan. 29, 2009 at Creighton Medical Center in Omaha.
Funeral Mass will be Monday, February 2, 2009 at 10:00am in Immaculate Conception Church, Ulysses with Fr. Raymond Jansen officiating. Burial in the church cemetery. Viewing will be Sunday from 2-4pm at Chermok Funeral Home and after 6pm at the church followed by a 7pm rosary also at church. Additional viewing will be on Monday one hour before services at the chuch.
Memorials may be given in care of the family.
James Rerucha Jr. was born on June 21, 1940 to James and Elizabeth(DeWispelare)Rerucha Sr on the farm near Surprise. Jim, better known as "Baldy", was a farmer and had worked for many years at the UFC before retiring. He married Betty Kobza on Jan. 3, 1959. He later married Nida Werner on Sept. 2, 2008 at Rock Port, MO. Jim had lived in the Butler County area most of his life. He and Nida were currently living in the Waco area.
Jim was a member of the Rising City and Ulysses VFD as well as the York, Seward, and Aurora area Tractor Club. His passion was working on 2-cylinder John Deere Tractors, deer hunting and polka music.
He is survived by his wife, Nida, sons: Dave(Kathy) of Cape Coral, FL; Rick(Diane) of David City; Daughter; Barb Rerucha of David City; Step-sons: Dwight(Denice)Werner of Sidney, NE; Mark(Karen)Werner and Aaron(Christina)Werner both of Waco. Step-daughter: Amy Werner of York. 4 Grandchildren and 4 Great-grandchildren; 9 Step-grandchildren; and 1 Step-great-grandchild.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Dorothy Hottovy; one granddaughter: Jennifer Rerucha; one great-grandson: Gavyn Rerucha
