Irene M. Palensky, 88, of David City died Thursday, January 25, 2018 at Butler County Health Care Center in David City.

Irene was born in Cedar Bluffs, Ne to Ely and Henrietta (Nemec) Wesely on December 19, 1929. She graduated from Prague High School in 1947. On February 2, 1948, she married Milo Palensky and five children were born to this union.
Irene was a member of St. Mary's Church and the PCCW. She worked as a farm wife and painter with her husband, Milo as well as a cook at Marietta School, Kindler Flower Shop, and a self-employed upholsterer before retiring for health reasons. After retirement, she would crochet and make quilts for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also loved the outdoors, especially tending to her roses.
Irene is survived by her children: Sharon (Ron) Muntz of San Antonio, TX, Daniel (Darci) Palensky of Omaha, Michael (Karen Kindler)Palensky of Clarks, NE, Adrian Palensky of Eureka, MO, daughter-in-law: Kathy (Dan) Silvester, 12 Grandchildren, 11 Great-grandchildren, sister: Marcene Havelka of Wahoo, brother-in-law: Charles(Sue) Palensky and sister-in-law Geraldine Vanek both of Omaha.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Milo, son, Robert, grandson, Jace Palensky, brother, Raymond (Irene) Wesely, In-laws: Leonard and Goldie Palensky, Alden Havelka and Bernard Vanek.
