Ila M."Blue" McClellan-Henry, 60, of Abie, died Monday, February 4, 2013 at the Butler County Health Care Center in David City.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, February 8, 2013 at 10:00am at the Abie Hall, Abie, Nebraska with Pastor Jack McDonald officiating.
Per Blue's request, she was cremated.
Ila M. McClellan was born on January 8, 1953 at Ottumwa, Iowa to Robert and Mary Ellen(Gephardt)McClellan. After graduation from high school, she entered the U.S. Navy where she served for 9 years. After her discharge, she worked in various jobs, but found her position as a home health care worker most rewarding.
She married Bill Henry on August 31, 2002. She was a great lover of animals, birds and especially eagles and wolves. She loved life in general and made sure she enjoyed every day to the fullest.
She was a past member of the Abie Volunteer Fire Department.
Blue is survived by her husband, Bill, one son and his fiance: James McClellan and Leigh Ann Kennedy of Leander, TX; her parents-in-law: Marcel and MaryAnn Henry of Spalding, NE; two brothers: C.W. McClellan of Florida and Sam McClellan of California and one sister: Pam Diaz of Omaha.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
