Howard G. Loveless, 85, of Rising City, died Friday, December 22, 2006 at Butler County Health Care Center in David City. Services will be Tuesday, December 26, 2006 at 10:30am at Bellwood United Methodist Church, Bellwood, Nebraska. Viewing will be Monday, December 25, 2006 from 5-7pm at the funeral home and Tuesday, from 9:30 until 10:30 at the church. Memorials may be given in care of Rising City VFD or Bellwood United Methodist Church.
Howard Loveless was born on November 15, 1921 at Bellwood, Nebraska to Herbie and Elsie Church Loveless. He worked with his father on the farm and enlised with the Army/Air Corp on Feb. 18, 1942. He was stationed in Iceland during WWII. He was honorably discharged on Dec. 21, 1945. He met and married Norma Winterfeld on June 4, 1950 at Bellwood, Nebraska. He continued to farm until his retirement in 1984 and moved to Rising City. He was a member of the United Methodist Church and American Legion Post 327 of Bellwood. He enjoyed building, welding and repair work.
He is survived by his wife: Norma; Three sons: Steven Loveless of Rising City and Joann Colfack of Columbus; Rex(Cheryl) and Jeff(Cindy) both of Columbus, two daughters: Star Kresha and Rose Loveless both of Columbus; 7 Grandchildren and one great-grandchild; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; step-father; Robert Rollo, two infant brothers, two sisters: Helen Langhorst and Doris Hunt.
