Helen Nechvatal, 100, of Schuyler passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at Schuyler Care and Rehabilitation Center.
Helen is the daughter of James and Mary (Varejcka) Krivohlavek and was born in Schuyler on August 7th, 1917. She received her education at Schuyler grade school and graduated from Schuyler High School in 1935. After attending Beautician School in Omaha she worked at Ann Cornellis Beauty Shop for 2 years.
She married John C. Nechvatal on September 10, 1940. They moved to Louisville, KY for a year where John worked for Kenneth Coggshall in his jewelry store. The couple then moved back to Schuyler where John worked for his brother Leonard in his jewelry store.
Helen worked at Hurley Beauty Shop until 1950 when she opened her own shop in her home and worked until she retired in the 80's.
Helen is survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband John in 1996, and two brothers.
