H. Keith Crook, 97, of Rising City, died Friday, July 23, 2010 at David Place in David City.
Funeral Services will be Wedneday, July 28, 2010. 10:00am at the United Methodist Church in Rising City with Rev. Fay Hubbard officiating. Burial in Circle Mound Cemetery.
Viewing will be Tuesday, from 3-7pm at Chermok Funeral Home and Wednesday, from 9-10am at the church.

Mr. Crook was born on March 7, 1913 to Elva and Mabel(Linton)Crook in Falls City, NE. He attended the Falls City Schools, graduating from Falls City High School in 1932. He met, dated and later married Gladys Pool on March 26, 1938 at Rising City, Nebraska. They lived and farmed in the Rising City area all of their married lives. Two children were born to this union.
Keith enjoyed playing cards, was an avid bowler and was an excellent pitch at horseshoes. He also was a champion at checkers and after an opponents move he would ask "Are you sure you want to make that move?". He was also a member of the United Methodist Church in Rising City and a 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge 81 AF & AM of Rising City.
Keith is survived by his sons: Walter K. (Mary Ann) Crook of Rising City and Alton K.(Lois)Crook of Fremont, Ne.; one brother: Victor(Margaret)Crooks of Mountain View, CA; one sister: Aerial Riggs of Washington State. 5 Grandchildren; 16 Great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Gladys in 2005, one grandchild: Bruce Crook; two infant siblings; four brothers: George, Finis, Earl and Cleo; three sisters: Catherine, Alma, and Lois.
