Gordon K. Jens, 71, of Rising City, passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2009 at the Butler County Health Care Center in David City.
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 am Friday, July 24, 2009 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in rural Rising City, Rev. David Palomaki officiating. Burial will be in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 23 at Chermok Funeral Home, from 5 - 7 pm. Additional visitation 1 hour before the service Friday at the Church.
Gordon was born November 19, 1937. He served in the U.S. Army. On April 10, 1963 Gordon married Erma J Rosenberry in Lincoln, NE. He worked as a warehouse supervisor for Ganbel-Robinson Con in Lincoln and later was a custodian at Surprise Elementary School.
Gordon is survived by is wife, Erma of Rising City, son, Mike of Lincoln, daughter, Brenda (Jens) (Jerry) Stotts of Council Bluffs, 2 grandchildren, neices and nephews.
Memorials: In Care of the Family for future designation.
