Geraldine Boss

Geraldine Boss, 80, of David City, died Wednesday, December 9, 2009 at St. Joseph's Villa in David City. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 am Saturday, December 12, 2009 at St. Mary's Church. Visitation will be from 4 - 7 Friday, December 11 at Chermok Funeral Home followed by a Rosary at 7 pm also at the funeral home. Visitation will continue one hour before the Mass Saturday at the church. The casket will be closed at all times. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Memorials suggested to St. Mary's Church or St. Joseph's Villa.
Geraldine was born on June 23, 1929 in Valparaiso, Nebraska to Thomas and Anna (Pochop) Vlcan. she attended Saunders County District School 76 and Weston High School. She married Harold Hosch on June 1, 1950 in Weston. After Harold passed away she married Rollin Boss on January 3, 1985 in David City.
Geraldine was a member of St. Mary's Church and St. Mary's PCCW. She like to bowl and play golf. She was the first woman to bowl a 600 series in David City. She liked gardening, flowers and needle work.
Geraldine is survived by a son, Steven (Michelle) Hosch of Blair, NE; daughters, Barb (Tom) Kopecky, David City, NE and Phyllis (Jesse) Collins, Canyon City, Co; brother, Daniel (Marianne) Valcan of Weston, NE; 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, and sons David and Thomas.
