George Philip Remmers, 72, of Garrison, passed away Sunday, March 21, 2010 at David Place in David City.
Funeral Services are at 10:30 am Wednesday, March 24th at Faith Lutheran Church in Rising City. Visitation will be from 4 - 6 pm Tuesday at Chermok Funeral Home in David City. Burial will be in the Faith East Cemetery.
George was born January 30, 1938 in Garrison to George and Esther M. (Daro) Remmers. He graduated from David City High School in 1956 and served in the U.S. Army from January 1958 to January 1960.
George is survived by his brothers: Stephen (Judy) Remmers of York, NE, John Remmers of David City, NE, and David (Alice) Remmers of Lincoln, NE; sisters: Marianne (Karl) Ziethen of Garrison, Marjorie (Kenneth) Klingemann of Garrison, and Dianne (Stanley) Musil of Columbus; special friend: Teresa Garihan of Omaha and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Holly Remmers.
Memorials may be given "In Care of the Family".
