George Pleskac, 86, of Brainard, passed away on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at david place in David City.

George Pleskac was born on November 27, 1927 at St. Paul, Nebraska to Frank and Josephine (Kudrna) Pleskac. He graduated from St. Paul High School. He married Celestine"Sally"Matulka on June 6, 1950 at St. Augustine Church, Schuyler, Nebraska. Four children were born to this union.

George farmed for many years and later was a truck driver. He enjoyed working with wood and would craft many things to be donated to charities and given as gifts to family and friends. He was a member of Holy Trinity Church, Brainard for over 55 yrs and served as an acolyte since 1999.

George is survived by his wife, Sally, Children: Gary(Diane)Pleskac of Loma, NE, Galen(Deb)Pleskac of Deming, NM, Greg(Pam)Pleskac of David City, NE, and Galla Pleskac-Smith of Alvo, Ne. 8 Grandchildren: Neil Pleskac and special friend, Shannon Newport, of Brainard, NE; Calli Pleskac and Kristen Pleskac, of Dwight, NE; Sheila Pleskac and special friend, KT, of Omaha, NE; Donovan Pleskac, of Deming, NM; Laurie (Bryan) Jirovsky, of Utica, NE; Karen (Tommy) Acers, of Omaha, NE; and Dylan Pleskac, of Woodinville, WA; and 5 great-grandchildren. One brother: Joe "Pep"(Nona) Pleskac of Elkhorn, NE.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers and 4 sisters.

All are invited to join the family for a lunch immediately following the Funeral Mass. There will be a private family burial service at a later date.
