Fred Hoult, 79, of Howells passed away on Sunday September 10, 2017 at his home.

Fred Sam Hoult was born May 1, 1938 in Omaha to Samuel and Bessie (Golda) Hoult. Fred graduated from South High School in Omaha in 1957. On April 30, 1960 he married Joyce Novotny at Mosher Memorial Church in Omaha. After the passing of his first wife, Fred married Margaret Kugel Moenning on December 30, 2006 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Howells. He began farming in 1960, and continued to farm, as well as, work at Western Electric in Omaha. Fred enjoyed anything that involved nature and being outdoors he especially had a love of fishing and coon hunting. Fred enjoyed collecting eagles and traveling in his spare time. He often thought of himself as an amateur weatherman in that he had the ability to look into sky and predict the weather for the next several days to come.
Survivors include his wife: Margaret of Howells. Daughters: Tammy (Jess) Martin of Murray, NE, Christine Gardner of Dunedin, FL and granddaughter Haley Gardner. Step-Children: Gloria (Dan) Krueger of Wahoo, NE, and James (Megan) Moenning of Air Force, USA. Step-Grandchildren Emilie and Otto Moenning. Brothers: Harry and Bob Hoult. Sisters: Evelyn Cook, Betsy Hurd, Rhode Horne, and Gloria Radial. Mother-in-Law Delores Kugel and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife Joyce on April 24, 2000, and two sisters Josie Novotny and Dorothy Swinarksi.
