Frank J. Kobza, 80, of Surprise, died Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at Bryan West Medical Center in Lincoln.
Frank was born on April 29, 1935 to Frank and Irene(Mazenec) Kobza on the farm near Ulysses. He graduated from Dwight Assumption High School in 1952 and entered the US Navy in 1955. Frank married Elono Simons on December 8th in Columbus, Nebraska. He was a member of the Dwight Legion Post 110, and Immaculate Conception Church, Ulysses.
Frank always took great pride in all his work, from raising a large and bountiful vegetable garden to his lawn and landscaping. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved to sit on his deck with Elono watching the many birds in their backyard. He also enjoyed fishing and going to dances in his younger years and loved to socialize, especially spending time with friends and family.
Frank is survived by his wife, Elono, children, Lori(Marv)Pelan of David City, Kelli(Dan)Lodema of Raymond, Daniel Kobza of Montana and Michelle(John)Sutton of Wahoo. 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Four sisters: Jane(Joe)Schrier of Grand Island, Betty Kobza of David City, Marcy Blatny of North Carolina, and Connie(Frank)Zidko of Spencer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers: Ben and Joe Kobza.
