Frank E. Klima, 84, of Howells, passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2011, in Clarkson. Frank was born on November 6, 1926 south of Howells to Frank and Anna (Hajek) Klima. He attended Colfax County Rural School District 35 in the Tabor area and graduated from Howells High School in 1942. He was a lifetime farmer in Colfax County until he retired in 1997. Frank served in the Army from 1945 to 1946 and was in Japan when the Atomic Bomb was dropped. He married Evelyn (Hobza) Sindelar on June 4, 1971 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church at Heun. He is a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church and the Albin Folda Post 155 of the American Legion in Howells. Frank moved to Clarkson in 2007 from Howells. Frank is survived by one step-daughter, Marilyn Stubbert, four step-grandchildren and four step-great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn (August 30, 1996) one sister Mary Bazata and a niece. Lunch will be served at the Legion Club following graveside services at St. John's Catholic Cemetery with military rites by the Albin Folda Post 155 of the American Legion.
