Evelyn E. Harris, 91, of Schuyler, died Thursday, November 3, 2016 at the Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.

A funeral lunch will be served immediately following the funeral service with a graveside service at 1:30pm at Rising Sun Cemetery, rural Rising City.

Evelyn was born on June 2, 1925 at Owensville, Missouri to Albert and Maggie(Boettcher)Kurrelmeyer. She married Lewallen Harris on March 25, 1946 in St. Louis, Missouri. Three children were born to this union.

Evelyn worked for the Schuyler Memorial Hosptial in the dietary department for 25 years. She enjoyed being with her family, attending sporting events, fishing and raising flowers.

Evelyn is survived by her children: Viola(Tom)Bender and Lilas Harris both of Schuyler and Curt(Rebecca)Harris of Fremont. Two grandchildren: Nathan(Courtney)Harris of Hastings and Kevin(Kristen)Harris of North Bend. Three Great-grandchildren: Calista and Caitlyn Harris of Hastings and Kinna Harris of North Bend. Several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Lewallen in 1985, three brothers: Milfred, Chester and Victor, and three sisters: Viola, Lillian and Vera.
