Ernest Hula, 88, of Weston, passed away at his home on September 25, 2016.
Ernest was born on October 31, 1927 to Ignac and Agnes(Chmelka) Hula, on the family farm near Weston. He went to a country school along Hwy 92 until the 8th grade. Ernest was drafted into the U.S. Army on January 11, 1951 and served until May 24, 1952. On October 7, 1952 he was united in marriage to Norma Jean Frahm. Ernest was a member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church, and the Brainard Rejda Legion Post #273. He enjoyed farming and Polka music.
Ernest is survived by his children: Beverly(Terry) Brugman, of Douglas, NE; and Ronald(Vicky) Hula, of Weston; sister: Rosalyn Hofpar; sister-in-law: Gladys Svoboda; grandchildren: Charlotte(Mitchell) Greenwall, Lucas(Jen) Brugman, Brian(Vawn) Hula, and Scott(Kate) Hula; great-grandchildren: Elias and Asher Greenwall; Brianna, Timber and Benjamin Hula; and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife: Norma Jean; siblings and in-laws: Adolf(Dorothy) Hula, Martha(Leonard) Sabata, Mildred(Ed) Jakub, John Hofpar, and Emanuel Svoboda.
