Emil L. Hottovy, 88, of Dwight, died Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at David Place in David City.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, November 5, 2012 at 10 AM at Assumption Parish in Dwight with Father Jerel Scholl officiating. Interment will follow at Dwight Assumption Catholic Cemetery. Viewing will be Sunday from 5 until 7PM at the church with a 7 PM Rosary. Viewing will resume one hour before mass on Monday.
IN LIEU OF FLOWERS: Memorials have been suggested to Assumption Parish, Dwight Volunteer Fire Department, Aquinas, and to the Families Wishes.
Emil L. Hottovy was born on December 4, 1923 to Charles L. and Rose(Moravec) Hottovy near Dwight. He graduated high school from Dwight Assumption Catholic School.
He spent most of his life farming and raising cattle. Emil was a member of Dwight Volunteer Fire Department and of Catholic Workmen. He really enjoyed playing cards.
Emil is survived by one brother: Ray Hottovy of Morris, Minnesota; Sisters: Rose Klein of David City; Sister-in-law: Rose Hottovy of David City; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; Siblings: Adolph(Emma) Hottovy, Lucille(Francis) Eiting, Aggie(Ray) Fiala, Charles D.(Lorraine) Hottovy, Marcie Hottovy, Reynold(Dorothy) Hottovy, Richard Hottovy, Leonard Klein; and four nieces and nephews.
