Elono C. "Lonnie" Kobza, 80, widow of Frank, died Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at Fallbrook Assisted Living and Memory Care in Lincoln.
IN LIEU OF FLOWERS, PLANTS AND STATUES: Memorials to American Cancer Society. If you still wish to order something for the service on Sunday, you may call our local florist, 402 Floral, at 402-367-6188 by 5pm for delivery tomorrow.
Following the state COVID-19 guidelines we will comply with social distancing seating and limited room capacity at the Funeral Service. If the church reaches capacity seating, no entry will be allowed. Masks WILL BE required for entry into the funeral service. The Rosary and Funeral Mass will be recorded and available on our website page 48 hours after the service.
Elono (Lonnie) Simons Kobza, 80, of Surprise, died Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at Fallbrook Assisted Living Facility in Lincoln.
Lonnie was born on February 28, 1940 to Jessie McCollister and Robert Simons in Omaha, NE. She graduated from Washington High School, Sioux Falls, SD in 1957. Lonnie married Frank Kobza December 8th in Columbus, Nebraska. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church, Ulysses.
Lonnie always enjoyed gardening, from raising a large and bountiful vegetable garden to landscaping with beautiful flowers. She enjoyed the outdoors and loved to sit on her deck with Frank and Tiger, their cat, watching the many birds in their backyard. Lonnie took great pride in her work at National Farmers Organization and as a business owner of Kobza’s Korral.
Lonnie is survived by children, Lori(Marv)Pelan of David City, Kelli(Dan)Lodema of Raymond, Daniel Kobza of Missoula, Montana and Michelle(John)Sutton of Wahoo. 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Frank, and her mother Jessie.
