Elizabeth Ostrander

Elizabeth was born June 30, 1911 in Octavia to Samuel and Jennie (Keller) Breidenstine and she graduated from Schuyler High School in 1930. On July 10, 1934 she and Everett Ostrander were married in Springfield, NE. They lived in Schuyler before moving to Omaha where Everett worked as a mason and Elizabeth worked at Burke High School. Elizabeth moved back to Schuyler in 1968 and worked as a clerk at Dudek's Department Store, Billie's Tote and Teens, Brokenicky Jewelry Store and Don's Feed Store. She was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and the Rebecca Lodge. Elizabeth enjoyed cooking, dancing, Polka music, playing Solitaire, going out with friends, but mostly she enjoyed spending time with her family. Elizabeth died March 26th, at the age of 99, at Merrick Manor in Fremont where she had been a resident since November of 2006. Elizabeth is survived by two daughters, Geraldine Flynn of Ixonia, WI and Shirley (Dean) Brichacek of Schuyler; 13 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; nine great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Everett (11/6/68); son, Kenneth Ostrander; daughter, Nova Ostrander; grandson, Brian Flynn; daughter-in-law, Joan Ostrander; son-in-law, John Flynn Family suggest memorials to Family Choice.
