Eleanor R. Zima, 93, of David City died Friday, November 6, 2009 at Butler County Health Care Center in David City.
Eleanor Rose Zima was born on August 7, 1916 in the rural Brainard area, the only daughter, of John and Mary(Kostka) Bruner. She attended rural District 20, graduating from Brainard High School in 1934.
She married Raymond J. Zima on February 1, 1939 in David City. One daughter was born to this union. She was a member of the Z.C.B J. Lodge No. 68 of Brainard and St. Luke's United Methodist Church in David City.
Eleanor was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening, traveling and spending time with family.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 70yrs, Ray Zima, daughter: Ellen Rae Roberts of Omaha; granddaughters: Karen Roberts, Karla Jean Uhlir, and Kristin Yach; 6 Great-grandhcildren: Nicole, Amber, Kasi,David, Kamryn and Ethan; 5 Great-great-grandchildren, many other relatives and friends.
Per Eleanors request, there will be a private family service and burial. There will be no viewing or visitation.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers: Leonard Bruner and John Bruner Jr.
