Edwin L. Topil

Edwin Topil, 51, of Lincoln passed away Saturday, February 24, 2018 in Rising City at his parents home after a courageous battle with cancer.

In lieu of flowers and plants, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Lincoln or Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Shelby.

Edwin Louis Topil was born September 2, 1966 in David City to LeRoy and Margaret(Zegers) Topil. Ed attended Rising City Public Schools where he graduated with the class of 1985. He attended Southeast Community College in Milford after which he worked for Midland Medical (now Shared Services Systems) in Lincoln for 30 years. Ed was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church in Lincoln where he was a member of the Ushers Club and Knights of Columbus. He loved spending time with family, his nieces and nephews, 2 little great-nieces and loved his bowling.

Ed is survived by his parents, brother: Chuck(Susan) Topil of David City; sisters: Cathy(Chris) Terrana of West Harrison, NY, and Valerie (Gary) Brown of Lakewood, CO; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
