Edna M. "Bess" Kamenske, 90, of Bellwood, died Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at her residence.
Funeral Services will be Monday, August 9, 2010 at 10:30am in the United Methodist Church of Bellwood with Rev. Mark Schutt officating. Burial will be in the Bellwood Cemetery. Viewing will be on Monday, from 9:30am to 10:30am at the church.

Edna Mae "Bess" Wilson was born on May 2, 1920 to Robert and Pearl(Hager)Wilson at Blue Springs, Nebraska. The family moved to the Bellwood area where Bess graduated from Bellwood High School.
She met, dated and later married Ebeart Kamenske on October 25, 1940 in Bellwood, Nebraska. They lived in several states due to Eb serving in the military, but finally settled back in Bellwood after the war was over.
Bess was a farm wife and homemaker and for a short while, assistant post mistress in Bellwood. She was an active member in the Methodist Church and the local Rebekah Daughters Lodge. She also attended Bible Study on a regular basis and taught Sunday School for many years. Bess enjoyed cooking, knitting, crocheting and fishing.
She also had a passion for motorcycles and would ride with Eb when he would travel on his Indian. They even rode up to Sturgis to attend the big rally.
Bess is survived by her son David Kamenske and Zona and Dillon Ragan all of Bellwood. One sister: Jean Svitak of Boise, Idaho and all the children of Bellwood, with whom she had a special connection throughout her lifetime.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband Eb in 1989, three brothers: Raymond, Harry and Bernard Wilson.
