Edith M. Petrzilka, 82, of David City, formerly of Brainard, died Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at St. Joseph's Villa in David City.
Memorial Mass will be Monday, August 27, 2012 at 10:30am in Holy Trinity Church, Brainard with Fr. Matthew Eickhoff officiating. Inurnment will be in the Old Holy Trinity Cemetery. A parish rosary will be held Monday at 10:00am at the church. No viewing or visitation as Edith wishes were to be cremated.

Edith M. Petrzilka was born to John and Alma (McWhorter) Caldwell on October 15, 1929 at Sanford, Florida.
She married George Petrzilka Sr. on June 19, 1949 at Tavares, Florida, and was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Brainard.
Edith was employed as a food processor at Henningson Foods for many years. She enjoyed collecting elephants, playing Bingo, traveling, and she especially loved being around children.
Edith is survived by 2 granddaughters: Tonya Petrzilka of Norfolk, and Tiffany (Grant) Flamig of Kearney. 4 great grandchildren, Kruz and Kayn Flamig, and Caiden and Callie Petrzilka. And 1 brother, Larry (Carolyn) Caldwell of Green, South Carolina.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband George Sr., son George Jr., 4 brothers: Jimmy, John Hugh Jr, Duane, and Robert. 3 sisters: Camille, Leila Mae, and Mildred.
