Dorothy K. Lissman, 89, of David City, passed away Monday, September 20, 2010 at David Place.
Funeral Services will be Friday, September 24, 2010 at 10:00am in Zion Lutheran Church, Sutton, Nebraska with Pastor Judy Nuss officiating. Burial will be in the Sutton Cemetery.
Viewing will be Thursday, from 2-6pm at Chermok Funeral Home and Friday, one hour before services at the church in Sutton.
Memorials may be given in care of the family.
Dorothy K. Lissman was born on August 26, 1921 at Sutton, NE to Fred and Katherine(Stienhauer)Heinz. She attended the local grade school and graduated from Sutton High School in 1939. She married Donald Lissman on September 13, 1945 in Sutton. They lived in the Sutton area until moving to David City in 1978.
Dorothy worked in the kitchen at the Butler County Hospital for 15 years until she retired in 1994.
She has been a resident of David Place since 2007.
Dorothy is survived by several cousins and a very good friend and her caregiver: Margaret Peterson of David City.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1990; and one sister, Mildred Heinz.
