Dorothy M. Jecha, age 86, formerly of Brainard died Thursday December 29, 2011 at Golden Living Center in Schuyler.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, January 2, 2012 at 10:00am at Holesovsky Mortuary in Brainard with Fr. Matthew Eickhoff officiating. Burial will be in Bohemian National Cemetery, rural Brainard.

Dorothy M. Jecha was born on May 14, 1925 at David City, Nebraska to Joseph and Mary(Pelan)Slama. She attended Brainard Schools and graduated from Brainard High School. She lived in the Butler County area all of her life.
She married Albert Jecha on July 26, 1943 at Brainard, Nebraska. Two sons were born to this union.
Dorothy was a homemaker and farm wife for most of her life. She also worked at the Fairview Cafe in Wahoo as a baker and later as a cook at East Butler High School until she retired.
She enjoyed baking, cookiing, sewing, quilting, listening to music, gardening, flowers and spending time with her family.
Dorothy is survived by her sons: Harvey(Judy)of Lincoln, Ron of Brainard; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; one sister: Rita(Ed)Pospisil of Missouri; one brother: Jerome Slama of Rising City, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1987; one brother: Norman Slama and one sister: Bernice Ostry.
