Donald Woita, 81, of Valparaiso, passed away July 27, 2018 at The Monarch in Lincoln.

Donald was born April 4, 1937 to William J. and Ella(Focher) Woita in Prague, NE. At the age of 5 they moved to a farm by Ulysses. He graduated from Ulysses High School. On November 28, 1959 he was united in marriage to Carolyn Holesovsky at Holy Trinity Church in Brainard. And they have lived on a farm by Valparaiso since 1963.
Donald farmed all of his life, and raised cattle, hogs, and chickens. He enjoyed collecting toy tractors and was an amateur photographer. Don was a member of Sts. Mary and Joseph Catholic Church in Valparaiso, and sang in the choir. He was also a former School Board Member of District 118, and a member of the Saunders County Livestock Feeders, Knights of Columbus, Archer Oil, Vigortone Feed, Soybean Association, Corn Growers, and the Saunders County Pork Producers.
He is survived by his wife: Carolyn Woita, of Valparaiso; children: Bruce(Lisa) Woita, of Valparaiso, Bryan(Lori) Woita, of Valparaiso, Diane Znamenacek, of Lincoln and Denise(Quinten) Dallas, of Lincoln; brother: Bill Woita; sister: Dorene(Jerome) Novacek; grandchildren: Michael(Allie) Znamenacek, Tyler Znamenacek, Mitchell Znamenacek, Maegan Woita, Nathan Woita, Rachel Woita, Brandi Woita and Nicole Woita; 2 great-grandchildren: Brennan and Hayden Znamenacek.
