Don was born October 23, 1960 in Fremont to Donald and Jan (Wilson) Cook. He attended schools in Fremont and Palmer and following his graduation from Columbus High School in 1979 he attended Milford Tech and Concordia College in Seward Don served in the Army from 1/26/1982 to 6/12/1984 as an interpreter. He married Cheryll (Spies) Weber on July 3, 1992 in Fremont and they made their home in Schuyler. He was a computer programmer and technician and was employed at Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. in Columbus before his health did not allow him to continue working. Don enjoyed being a HAM operator and was a member of the PARC Ham Radio Club in Fremont and the Handi Hams, a ham radio club that helped procure ham radio equipment for the handicapped. He loved woodworking, camping and fishing, outdoor cooking, collecting caps and he had a great sense of humor. Don died at their home on September 18th at the age of 51. Don is survived by his wife, Cheryll of Schuyler; three children, Donald Cook III of Ogallala, Dr. Karrie Weber and her husband, Ron Anderson of Lincoln, Pamela and her husband, MSgt Allen Brezenski of Minot, ND; six grandchildren, Logan and Jacen Cook, Will Anderson, Elle, Leona and Josephine Brezenski; his mother, Jan Cook of Columbus; his sister, Teri ( Allen) Ronkar of Columbus. He is preceded in death by his father, Donald Cook. Family suggest memorials to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
