Don Rippe

Donald Wayne Rippe was born February 24, 1929 at Ohiowa, NE to Emil and Martha (Weber) Rippe. He was baptized and confirmed at Grace Lutheran Church, Ohiowa, and in 1946 graduated from Ohiowa High School. Don married Geraldine Madison in February, 1950 in Geneva. To this marriage were born four children, Russell, Rochelle, Jayne and Karen.  Don later married Margaret (Jisa) Pekarek on April 16, 1977 in David City. He worked in the maintenance department at the Schuyler beef packing plant from 1967 to 1996 when he retired. Don died November 26th at Immanuel Medical Center in Omaha. He is survived by his children, Russ Rippe and wife Susan of Milford, Rochelle "Shelli" Rippe of Alexandria, VA, Jayne Germer and husband Jim of Crete, and Karen Rippe and Dee Paulhus of Camas, WA; two grandchildren, Noël Cermak and husband Justin  of Lincoln and ehrendt Rippe and wife Tiffany of Lincoln; two great anddaughters, Salaya and Kirah Rippe; four step-children, Denise (Sid) Martindale, Bernice (Don) Dietrich, Sandy (John) Eller, and Charles "Chuck" Pekarek; two brothers, Cliff (Sarah) Rippe of Geneva and Wes (Bonnie) Rippe of Ohiowa. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Margaret "Marge" (Feb. 19, 1995); brother, Leonard. Funeral lunch will be ser ed atr St. John's Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall.
