Delores M. Kucera, 83, of David City passed away February 1, 2019 at the Butler County Health Care Center.
Memorials have been suggested to: St. Mary's Church, Masses and the David City Volunteer Fire Department.
Delores was born May 25, 1935 to Chester and Gertrude(Radford) Lukert in Seward, Nebraska. She was united in marriage to Donald Kucera on November 19, 1955 in Ulysses, Nebraska. 3 children were born to this union.
Delores was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, the PCCW, and the Red Hat Society. She cleaned and worked at the church rectory for many years. Delores enjoyed her flowers, baking, going to antique sales, and her spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years: Donald Kucera, of David City; children: Nathan(Barbara) Kucera, of Lincoln, Yvonne Wendt, of David City, Gordon(Lisa) Kucera, of Lee's Summit, MO; brother: Wayne(Joyce) Lukert; sisters-in-law: JoAnne Lukert and Kathy Lukert; grandchildren: Jeremy Severson, Jennifer(Jeremy) Pester, Jacob Kucera, Tiffany(Jennifer) Pence, Danielle(Kevin) Quintanar, Leah Kucera, Gretchen Kucera and Abigail Kucera; 15 great-grandchildren.
Delores is preceded in death by her parents; her mother and father-in-law; brothers: Dale and Darrell Lukert; infant brother: Gordon; and an infant sister; and son-in-law: Steve Wendt.
Lunch will be served immediately following the mass at Winfield's.
