Della Novak

Della M. Novak, 99, of Dwight, died Thursday, December 28, 2006 at St. Joseph's Villa in David City. Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, January 2, 2007, 10:00am at Assumption Catholic Church, Dwight. Viewing will be on Monday, January 1, from 3 - 6pm at the church, followed by a 6pm rosary, also at the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Memorials may be given for Masses, Assumption Church or the Grotto.
Della M. Sypal was born on Aug. 13, 1907 to Mike and Mary(Hlavac) Sypal on the farm near Dwight. She attended grade school at District 63. She met and married Joe E. Novak on January 17, 1927 at Assumption Catholic Church in Dwight. They lived on the farm all of their married life. She was a member of Assumption Catholic Church, Catholic Workman, Catholic Daughters and the Dwight Good Neighbor Extension Club.
Della is survived by her three daugthers: Gladys(Adolph)Nemec of Prague, Evelyn Nemec of Dwight, Elaine(Tony)Brecka of Brainard. She has 24 grandchildren and 48 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; son-in-law: Cy Nemec a great-grandson: Cameron Brecka; one brother and two sisters.
