David R. Stuhr, 56, of Lincoln, died Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at his residence in Lincoln.

David Russell Stuhr was born on August 13, 1959 at Seward, Nebraska to Loren and Mary Jean(Ellison)Stuhr. He was baptized at St. John's Lutheran Church near Waco and later confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church, rural Rising City. He attended St. John's Lutheran School near Waco until the 7th grade, and then went on to graduate from Rising City High School in 1977. He served four years in the US Marine Corps. where he was stationed in San Diego and Japan. He was honorably discharged in 1981 after attaining the rank of Sergeant.
Dave worked for First Data as a computer tech and also for Precision Door. He found his peace and comfort in the outdoors. He loved motorcycles and took a cross country trip from Rising City to San Diego. He enjoyed being on his fishing boat at area lakes and spending time with family and friends.
Dave is survived by his parents, Loren and Mary Jean Stuhr, sisters, Linda(Clay)Shepherd of Seward, and Joan Suddarth of York. 5 nieces and nephews: Carson, Lauren and Preston Shepherd, Blair and Drake Suddarth, one great-nephew, Kaden Shepherd , aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Greg.
