Darlene Jatczak, 78, formerly of Kearney and David City, passed away March 26, 2017 at The Pines in Spring, TX.

Darlene was born on March 29, 1938 in Brainard, Nebraska to Frank and Julia (Weverka) Kucera. She graduated from David City High School in 1960. On November 19, 1960, she was united in marriage to Robert Edmund Jatczak in David City. After a short time of living in Bay City, Michigan, they returned to Nebraska and resided in Lincoln.
Darlene worked in Lincoln, Broken Bow and at the University of Nebraska, Kearney for 23 years before her retirement. Following retirement, she enjoyed camping, traveling, playing card games and spending time with her friends and family, most of all she enjoyed being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Darlene spent her last year in Houston, Texas with her daughter, Barb, before her final move to The Pines at Oakhurst where she received wonderful care.
Darlene is survived by her children: Barb(Pete) Sagmiller, of Spring, TX, Mark(Kim) Jatczak, of Papillion, John(Heather) Jatczak, of Marstons Mills, MA, Matt Jatczak, of Leag City, TX, and Julie(Jimmy) Hart, of Wheat Ridge, CO; sisters: Sally Kozisek, Gladys Hoeft, and Shirley(Mike) Vasina; 14 grandchildren: Ashley J., Amber, Luke, Nathan, Ashley T.,Jason, Kari, Ryan, Noelle, Liam, Olivia, Jake, Braden, and Addy; 7 great-grandchildren: Kaden, Bennet, Cole, Eliana, Chase, Channing, and Diesel; and many nieces and nephews.
Darlene is preceded in death by her parents; and siblings: Raymond Kucera, Evelyn Birkel, Rosie Husak, and Adeline Cemper
